Links to desktop app rather than web

With the release of this feature for mstodo, I'm marking this as completed. Outlook is the only one we can't support to open in app, as they don't provide a way to do so.

Hi everybody. With the latest release, you can now open your OneNote and Evernote notes directly from Todoist. Soon we'll be releasing the same for Microsoft To do. If you have any feedback related to this, please let us know!

Jorge Enrique: Hi Jorge and thanks for implementing this feature. Upon testing it I found that every time I click on "Open in App", the web browser first gives a prompt "Open Evernote?" and I have to click yes. With no option to not ask again.
It would make it a lot more fluent to give an option to eliminate that question in the browser.
Jorge Enrique
Faisal Malallah: Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we're trying to find a way to override this behavior, but as you are aware, it's the browser's alert that pops up... So it's not a proper Pleexy thing. We're researching it and trying to solve it.

Jorge Enrique: If this help:
I tried manually creating a todo in todoist and added an Evernote app link to it as a hyperlink. When I click that to do, evernote app opens up directly with the linked notes without the browser asking permission to open it.
I think it has to do with the way you guys are adding the Evernote app URl; you're creating a "http://plxy.co" from it and that's why it is being directed to the web. Is there a technical reason why you can't add the app URL as it is?
Jorge Enrique
Faisal Malallah: are you trying to create links to the Evernote app? If that's the case, we support that now. Whenever you create a task, you'll have the option to open Evernote in either the browser or the client app.
Have you given it a try? Is this what you're looking for?

Very interested to see this with OneNote......

Yes. How would you liketo do that?

In the past "Legacy" version of the Todoist Outlook add-in, one would simply click the task created from the email and it would effortlessly open the email in the Outlook desktop app. That would be incredible to have again!
Jorge Enrique
Hi Rory Charitan, would you like to have a chat about this?

Hi, I'm Jorge, from Pleexy.
At the moment we're starting to build this feature. We'd love to have your feedback about it. If you want to talk to us, please reply to this comment and I'll contact you directly.
Thanks!

Jorge Enrique: Hi Jorge. I'm willing to provide you with any feedback you would like. In my case, I would like to have the option that when I click on the todoist tasks created by pleexy from Evernote, it would open the note on the Evernote app client rather than the Evernote web note. This is important because it would work a lot faster and hence streamline my workflow. As it is, opening the weblink by default, makes it an usable to me due to the slowness and opening another enviroment.
Jorge Enrique
Faisal Malallah: Yes, I understand, and that's where we're heading. What we'd like to know is your opinion about the different ways in which we could achieve this, and that's where your feedback would be useful. If you'd like to, we could setup a call to discuss it.

Please integrate this! Even Evernote can't get their linking system working right, but to have the ability to open the app link by default vs. the web link is a must have.

Hi Nathan Renfree, would you like to have a chat about this?
